Ashburn Farm hosts many events throughout the year to bring the community together. Kids will look forward to seasonal favorites such as the Easter Bunny Brunch, Morning with Santa and the Middle School Monster Mash. Adults can enjoy the annual Wine and Beer Tasting Day and try a variety of craft beers, wines and tasty hors d’oeuvres. Finally, there is plenty of fun for the whole family at the Summer Kickoff celebration, which features games, rides, live music, food from local vendors and a fireworks showcase to end the night.
During the hot summer days, residents can cool off at one of the three pools located throughout the community. There is one located on Windmill Drive, one on Golden Meadow Drive and the last is on Hay Road. Bikers and runners can also take advantage of the 28 miles of paved trails that are laid throughout the town, some of which take scenic turns through wooded areas and ponds. For recreational use, there are several tennis courts, basketball courts and baseball fields, as well as 19 playgrounds equipped with gear for climbing, sliding and swinging.
Ashburn Farm is home to a variety of restaurants, from Chinese to Mediterranean and Italian. You can even find food trucks in Ashburn Farm! Windy City Red Hots serves authentic Chicago-style hot dogs and has become a favorite among residents.
Transportation Around Ashburn Farm
While plenty of resident enjoy walking and biking as a way to enjoy the beautiful scenery and stay in shape, Driving is the best way to get around Ashburn Farm. However, traveling isn’t a hassle at all. With many major roads nearby, such as the Ashburn Farm Parkway and Claiborne Parkway, easily getting you to Rt. 7 and the Dulles Greenway, getting around and out to surrounding areas is a breeze.
